BURRELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Authorities have confirmed that a 102-year-old woman has died following a two-vehicle crash in Indiana County on Friday afternoon.
According to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened shortly before 4 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 22 and Resort Plaza Drive in Burrell Township.
Troopers said the collision occurred when an eastbound vehicle on State Route 22 failed to stop at a steady red light. The vehicle struck another car that was legally turning left onto Route 22 from Resort Plaza Drive with a green light.
The elderly woman, whose identity has not yet been publicly released, was fatally injured in the crash. Authorities have not confirmed whether she was a driver or passenger at the time of the collision.
