A 16-year-old boy, identified by community sources as David Mason Jr., also known as #LilDave, was fatally shot Monday afternoon in Chicago’s West End neighborhood.
Police reports indicate that Mason was riding a scooter near the 4100 block of West End Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on October 21, 2025, when he was approached by multiple suspects. Witnesses suggest that as many as five shooters were involved. The teen sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and arms. He was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Mason was known locally as a member of the Harlem Boyz, and his death has sent shockwaves through the community.
