NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A tragic shooting late Saturday night outside Forest Park Apartments has claimed the life of 17-year-old Ja’Quan Nolan, Metro Nashville Police reported.
Investigators said the incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. on Highway 70 South after an argument between two females escalated into gunfire. Nolan was fatally shot at the scene.

A 24-year-old man also sustained a graze wound during the shooting. He was treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and later taken into custody on an unrelated warrant after denying involvement in the incident.
Metro Nashville Police detectives are working closely with the District Attorney’s Office as the investigation continues. Authorities have not released details regarding any suspects or arrests connected to the shooting.
