Monroeville, AL – The Monroeville community is grieving after the tragic death of 17-year-old King Stallworth, who was shot and killed on the night of August 15, 2025.

Authorities confirmed the incident late Friday night, though details surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Stallworth’s sudden and violent passing has left family, friends, and neighbors in shock, as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of a young life full of potential.
Loved ones describe King as a kind-hearted and vibrant teenager who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His life, though cut short, was marked by the warmth and light he brought to those around him.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Banks Memorial Funeral Home & Cremations. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church, where family, friends, and community members will gather to remember and honor him.
