The Bloomsburg Police Department has announced the arrest of 19-year-old Samuel Charles Evans as the suspect involved in a shooting that occurred on Saturday, November 1. Evans was apprehended without incident at his home in Mahanoy City, following an intensive investigation and with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
Police officials credited community cooperation for the swift resolution of the case. Local residents and businesses played a key role by providing valuable tips and surveillance footage, which enabled investigators to confirm Evans’ identity and move forward with the arrest.

After Evans was identified as a suspect, detectives filed multiple charges, including:
Attempted Criminal Homicide
Aggravated Assault
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License
Possession of a Weapon
Terroristic Threats
Recklessly Endangering Another Person
Evans is currently being held in the Columbia County Prison on $500,000 bail.
The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the motive behind the shooting or the condition of the victim.
