Tragically, Autumn Bishop, who was a passenger in the Honda, died at the scene from her injuries. Percell suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Osbon, the Mustang’s driver, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to a medical facility for evaluation.

Investigators believe that driver fatigue may have played a role in the collision. The impact prompted authorities to close Highway 42 for approximately two hours as emergency crews, police, and ODOT officials worked to assist victims, clear debris, and document the scene.

OSP was assisted by the Myrtle Point Police Department, local fire and ambulance teams, and the Oregon Department of Transportation during the response.

The loss of Autumn Ruby Bishop has left her family, friends, and community heartbroken. Loved ones remember her as a bright, caring, and spirited young woman whose life was filled with kindness and promise.
