Jamestown authorities have confirmed the heartbreaking death of 4-year-old Leanna Herrera, a student in the Jamestown School District, who was struck by a school bus outside Milton J. Fletcher Elementary School on Monday morning. The tragic incident occurred around 8:08 a.m. at the intersection of Cole Avenue and Whitehill Avenue, near the school’s south entrance.

Leanna was struck by a bus from the Panama Central School District while the driver was in the process of dropping off another student. Emergency responders transported the young girl to UPMC Chautauqua, where she later died from her injuries.
