Colerain Township, OH – A tragic head-on collision on Monday evening claimed the life of 70-year-old Barbara Wooten, who succumbed to her injuries after being transported to Mercy West Hospital. The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Pippin Road, prompting authorities to close the road for about two hours while emergency crews worked at the scene.
According to Colerain Township Police spokesperson Helen Tracey-Noren, Wooten was critically injured in the crash and passed away shortly after arrival at the hospital. Two other individuals involved in the accident were also hospitalized, though their conditions have not been disclosed at this time.
The Colerain Police Traffic Safety Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting the department at 513-321-2677.
