78-Year-Old Killed in Phoenix Crash; Another Seriously Injured

Phoenix, AZ — A tragic accident on Sunday morning claimed the life of 78-year-old Ronald Johnson and left another person with serious injuries at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard. The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. when two vehicles collided under circumstances still under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers found both vehicles heavily damaged and both drivers trapped inside. Emergency medical teams from the Phoenix Fire Department quickly responded, providing care at the scene before transporting both individuals to a nearby hospital. Sadly, Ronald Johnson was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, while the second driver was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
