Portage Township, OH – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Tuesday morning in Portage Township, which claimed the life of 81-year-old Arthur Patterson Jr. According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place around 4:24 a.m. on Township Road 21, just west of State Route 613.
Investigators have determined that Patterson was traveling westbound when he failed to navigate a curve in the road, causing his vehicle to veer off the left side of the roadway and overturn. Emergency crews responded to the scene, but Patterson was pronounced dead at the site due to injuries sustained in the crash.
