Aiken Community Grieves the Loss of Xavier Hall, 36, in Fatal Shooting
The Aiken community is mourning the tragic loss of 36-year-old Xavier Hall, who was fatally shot in the early hours of Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS) responded to a report of gunfire at approximately 3:18 a.m. on the 1200 block of Aldrich Street. Upon arrival, officers found Hall suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts at the scene, Hall was pronounced dead by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office at around 4:45 a.m.

The area was quickly secured by law enforcement as investigators began processing the scene and collecting evidence. Detectives conducted interviews with neighbors and gathered witness statements in an effort to understand the events leading up to the shooting. Authorities have confirmed that one person has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, although their identity has not been released as the investigation is ongoing.
