GREENSBORO, Ala. — Authorities have named Boris Moody, 31, of Forkland, as the victim in a fatal shooting that occurred Monday near a Dollar General along U.S. Highway 43 in Greene County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), working through its State Bureau of Investigation, responded to the scene at the request of the Forkland Police Department.
An investigation has led to the arrest of 28-year-old Jamal Lee of Demopolis, now charged with murder and held in Greene County Jail.
Officials indicated more charges may be laid as the investigation continues, and once completed, the case will be forwarded to the Greene County District Attorney’s office for prosecution.
In the meantime, ALEA has asked that anyone with information come forward to assist with their inquiry.
Friends, family, and local officials expressed condolences to the loved ones of Moody, whose life was cut short under violent circumstances.
