The Alexandria community is reeling after a deadly shooting on Saturday night left one man dead, prompting a full-scale homicide investigation by the Alexandria Police Department.
According to authorities, the incident occurred in the 2000 block of Kelly Street shortly before 9 p.m. on October 4. Responding officers arrived at the scene following multiple reports of gunfire and discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, later identified as 30-year-old Juwuan Scott, was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly did not survive.
