WHITE HALL, Ark. – A Batesville mother died and two others, including a child, were injured in a head-on collision Friday afternoon at a Jefferson County intersection, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The victim has been identified as Jaime L. Dieffenbacher, 43, of Batesville.

The Crash
The crash occurred around 3:26 p.m. on Friday, December 5, at the intersection of Highways 104 and 270 in White Hall.
State Police investigators say Dieffenbacher was driving a 2012 Chrysler 200 westbound on Highway 104 and failed to stop at a posted stop sign. Her vehicle entered the intersection and struck the side of a westbound 2021 Toyota 4Runner.
Injuries and Response
Dieffenbacher was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota 4Runner, 21-year-old Madelyn Evans of White Hall, and a child who was a passenger in Dieffenbacher’s vehicle were both transported to area hospitals with injuries. Their conditions have not been released.
The intersection was closed for nearly two hours as emergency crews worked.
A Community Remembers a Devoted Mother
Friends and family are remembering Dieffenbacher as a devoted mother of three who cherished her children. Neighbors described her as generous and someone who enjoyed small joys, like decorating her car.
State Police say the crash remains under investigation and remind drivers to obey all traffic controls, especially at intersections.
