Authorities in Caruthers, California, are investigating the suspicious death of a man identified as 37-year-old Daniel Leon, who was discovered unresponsive early Thursday morning.
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a call around 7:00 a.m. on October 23 reporting an injured man lying on the ground near Oak and Tahoe Avenues. When deputies and emergency medical services arrived, they found Leon suffering from undisclosed injuries. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have not revealed the nature or cause of Leon’s injuries but confirmed that the circumstances surrounding his death are being treated as suspicious. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office are currently gathering evidence and interviewing potential witnesses in the area.
