Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle collision that claimed the life of 63-year-old Beverly M. Schirripa of Bangor on Saturday evening, September 20, 2025.
Troopers said the crash happened around 7:12 p.m. at the intersection of Riverton Road and Deer Run Road. A Chevrolet Malibu driven by 36-year-old Tyler J. Loudenberry of Phillipsburg was heading west on Deer Run Road when it struck the passenger side of a Volkswagen Taos traveling north on Riverton Road.
Both vehicles came to rest at the northwest corner of the intersection. Schirripa, a passenger in the Volkswagen, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Northampton County Coroner’s Office.
The Volkswagen’s driver, 61-year-old John D. Schirripa of Bangor, suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Mount Pocono Campus. Loudenberry was transported to St. Luke’s Anderson Campus for treatment of potential injuries.
State police in Belfast said the investigation remains ongoing as they work to determine the cause and contributing factors in the fatal crash.
