The online community is mourning the loss of Zuza, a vibrant 14-year-old who touched millions worldwide through her candid and courageous journey with cancer. She passed away on the morning of Monday, September 22, after an 11-year fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
Zuza was first diagnosed at age three, beginning a long and grueling battle marked by multiple relapses, three bone marrow transplants, and participation in clinical trials when traditional treatments failed. Despite the relentless challenges, she remained a beacon of strength and positivity, captivating audiences with her “Get Ready With Me” clips and “Procedure Day” reels across TikTok and Instagram. Later, as a featured Glow House star, her story reached millions, inspiring hope, resilience, and gratitude.

Her parents, Dagmara and Ryan, and her younger brother, Fin, are now left heartbroken following more than a decade of tireless efforts to keep her alive.
Tragedy struck the family twice in quick succession: just days before Zuza entered home hospice, Dagmara’s younger brother, Olaf, died unexpectedly, leaving behind a wife and two young children. In a remarkable show of selflessness, Zuza’s parents redirected memorial donations to Olaf’s family, resulting in thousands raised through Zuza’s platform—a testament to her enduring impact.
As Zuza’s godmother shared, the family now faces not only immeasurable grief but also the financial toll of more than a decade of medical care, hospital stays, and lost income. Supporters are being asked to help ease the burden of funeral costs and living expenses as the family begins the long road to healing.
