Authorities in Birmingham, Alabama, are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of 61-year-old Vincento Davis on Saturday evening, leaving the Wylam community in grief and disbelief.
According to the Birmingham Police Department (BPD), officers were dispatched around 7:09 p.m. to the 900 block of Erie Street after receiving multiple reports of gunfire. When they arrived, officers from the West Precinct found Davis inside a vehicle, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel responded quickly but were unable to save him. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, and investigators later confirmed he was a Birmingham resident.
