While formal identification is pending, investigators believe the remains may belong to 45-year-old Martin Glack, who was reported missing last Wednesday.

According to authorities, Glack’s vehicle had become stuck in the sand, and he was last seen as he waited for a tow truck to arrive. When he could not be located, deputies launched a search in the surrounding area. Officials noted that Glack is the only person reported missing in that part of the county in recent days, strengthening the likelihood that the remains are his.

The cause of death has not yet been determined. An autopsy has been ordered to confirm the victim’s identity and provide further details about how he died.

Deputies continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the discovery, and law enforcement officials are asking for the community’s assistance.

Anyone with information that may aid the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS.

As authorities await confirmation from the medical examiner, Glack’s family and friends remain hopeful for answers in a case that has left the Jefferson County community unsettled.
