BRADENTON, FL — The Bradenton Police Department (BPD) has launched an investigation into an overnight homicide that left one person dead following a shooting in the 400 block of 11th Avenue E.
According to police, officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 11:28 p.m. Monday night. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim suffering from gunshot wounds outside a residence. First responders immediately rendered emergency aid before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, the individual was pronounced dead in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Detectives with the Bradenton Police Department, working alongside the Manatee Homicide Investigative Unit, were on scene through the night, gathering evidence and canvassing the area for potential witnesses. Forensic teams carefully examined the surroundings while investigators began piecing together the sequence of events that led to the deadly shooting.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Details regarding a possible suspect, motive, or circumstances surrounding the incident remain limited as the investigation is still in its early stages.
“Our detectives are working tirelessly to collect evidence and speak with community members who may have seen or heard something last night,” the Bradenton Police Department said in a statement Tuesday morning. “We are asking for the public’s assistance to help bring answers to the victim’s family and hold whoever is responsible accountable.”
The shooting has left residents of the quiet neighborhood shaken, with several neighbors expressing concern over the rise in gun violence across Manatee County. Many in the community are calling for both justice for the victim and stronger measures to curb violent crime.
