The family of Brandon Blackstock is mourning the loss of the well-known talent manager, who passed away after a battle with melanoma. He was 47.

Blackstock, who shared two children — Savannah, 23, and Seth, 18 — with his first wife Melissa Ashworth, is also remembered as the father of River, 11, and Remy, 9, whom he welcomed with singer Kelly Clarkson during their marriage.
In a heartfelt tribute, his son Seth shared the depth of his grief and admiration:
“I lost my hero yesterday, words can’t describe how proud of you I am on raising me and your three other kids. You were a father, a son, a brother, and most importantly my best friend. You’ll have to watch me grow up from a Bird’s Eye view now, but that’s okay with me.”
Melissa Ashworth also honored her late ex-husband with moving words, remembering him as a man of warmth and character.
“Brandon was full of charm, wit, and just an absolute gentleman who happened to wear cowboy boots, Wrangler jeans, and a cowboy hat. He was by far, hands down, the best Daddy and Pa. He loved hard and he fought hard.”
She added that the greatest legacy he leaves behind is through his children:
“The best thing Brandon has left for his children is they know where he is… Savannah, Seth, and our grandchildren are the best parts of who Brandon and I are.”
Blackstock’s passing has left a profound void in the lives of his loved ones, but his family says his love, strength, and dedication as a father will continue to guide them.
