Born and raised in Butler, Pennsylvania, Bruno graduated from Butler Senior High School before continuing his studies at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where he pursued Reading and Early Childhood Education. He later advanced his expertise through programs in Administration and Supervision at Westminster College and Education at Duquesne University, preparing him for a distinguished career in teaching and leadership.

Professionally, Zuccala served as an Intervention Specialist and Educator, where he blended discipline with encouragement. Students and colleagues alike remember his “tough love” approach—demanding the best while always ensuring they felt supported and valued. His mentorship extended beyond academics, inspiring growth on the marching field and within the community.

Those who knew him describe him as a man of strong character, yet defined by his genuine kindness and care for others. “He challenged us, believed in us, and made us better people,” one former student recalled.
