The Caesar Rodney School District is reeling after a devastating accident in Dover, Delaware, claimed the life of one of its students and left another seriously injured on Thursday, September 12, 2025.

District officials confirmed that the tragedy involved an e-bike and a school bus. According to Delaware State Police, a 14-year-old boy died at the scene, while a 16-year-old remains hospitalized with serious injuries. Authorities said neither student was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The driver of the bus, which was carrying elementary school students, was not hurt, and no children aboard were injured. Investigators are working to determine how the crash occurred.
