CALLAHAN, Fla. — The community of Callahan is grieving the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Valerie Mosley, whose passing has left her family, friends, and loved ones devastated. Known for her vibrant spirit, kindness, and generosity, Valerie touched countless lives, and her absence will be deeply felt.

Valerie was remembered not only as a devoted mother but also as a creative and uplifting presence who brought light and joy wherever she went. On May 22, 2019, she welcomed her greatest blessing, her son, Memphis Blaze DeVore. Becoming a mother was one of the proudest moments of her life, and she poured her heart into raising Memphis with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Friends and family describe Valerie as compassionate and dependable, someone who inspired others to embrace life’s moments fully. Whether through her role as a digital creator, her friendships, or her family life, Valerie left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
To honor her memory, a community memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 30, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at Riverfront Park, 4065 SR-13 N, Saint Johns, Florida, 32259. The event, organized by Kaylee Wirtz, will be open to all who knew Valerie and will include food, drinks, and the opportunity to share stories and celebrate her life. Her funeral service will remain private for immediate family.

Valerie’s untimely passing serves as a reminder of how fragile life can be, yet her memory will continue to shine through her son Memphis and the many lives she touched. She will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the joy she brought into the world.
