Auglaize County, OH – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday night, September 30, 2025, along US Route 33 westbound, just west of the Moulton Fort Amanda Road off-ramp.
According to troopers, 24-year-old Riley A. Bradford, of Celina, was operating a 2004 Yamaha XVS650 motorcycle when the collision occurred around 8:59 p.m..
Investigators say Bradford’s motorcycle struck the rear of a 2023 Jeep Wrangler driven by 55-year-old Michael C. Reichert, of Van Wert. 56-year-old Jody L. Mahlie, of Middle Point, was a passenger in the Jeep at the time. Both occupants were uninjured.
The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn. Bradford, who authorities confirmed was not wearing a helmet, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Responding agencies included the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office, Saint Mary’s EMS, Buckland Fire Department, the Auglaize County Coroner, Cisco Funeral Home, and Midway Towing.
Investigators said alcohol and drugs are not suspected as contributing factors. The crash remains under investigation.
