Chester County, Pa. — The Malvern Preparatory School community is reeling after the tragic death of Kevin Donahue, a sophomore and member of the school’s football team, who was killed in a roadway accident on Tuesday morning in West Bradford Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred along Downingtown Pike/Route 322, just east of Romig Road. Investigators said an eastbound vehicle struck a deer, propelling the animal into the westbound lanes. The deer crashed through the windshield of another vehicle, where Kevin was a passenger.
Kevin sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that the vehicle that initially struck the deer—believed to be a black Toyota Sienna with significant front-end damage—left the scene. Police are now asking the driver to come forward and urging anyone with information to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Embreeville at 610-486-6280.
