A domestic incident in the 900 block of S. 19th Street prompted a police response earlier today after a firearm was discharged, though fortunately no injuries were reported.
Authorities from the City Police Department (CPD) initially issued an alert describing the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’6”, 150 pounds, with distinctive facial tattoos. Residents were urged to call 911 or 219-926-1136 if they spotted anyone matching the description.

Police have confirmed that the suspect has been located and is now in custody. Officials emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
