Chicago police are investigating a series of shootings across the city that resulted in at least two fatalities and five injuries over the weekend. The victims, who ranged in age from 15 to 55, were targeted in separate incidents, prompting authorities to intensify their efforts to address ongoing gun violence in the area.
The first shooting occurred early Saturday morning around 1:47 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Honore Street. Officers arrived at the scene to find a man, believed to be between 18 and 25 years old, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Stroger Hospital, he was later pronounced dead.

Less than an hour later, at approximately 2:55 a.m., another shooting was reported in the 4200 block of South Indiana Avenue. A 25-year-old man was shot in the arm after a gunman fired from a vehicle. The victim was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center and is reportedly in stable condition.
In addition to the two fatalities, five more individuals were injured in separate shootings throughout the weekend. However, police have not yet disclosed further details about the victims or the circumstances surrounding these incidents.
