Authorities have identified the bicyclist killed in an early-morning crash in Cleveland as Yvonne Kemp, 51.

Police say the collision occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, near East 128th Street and Kinsman Road. According to investigators, Kemp was riding south on East 128th and attempting to turn onto Kinsman when she was struck by a speeding vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The driver, identified as Kamarion T. Jordan, 20, of Cleveland, admitted to drinking prior to the crash, police said. A probable cause affidavit notes that Jordan displayed signs of impairment during a field sobriety test. His blood alcohol concentration measured 0.074%, more than three times Ohio’s legal limit for drivers under 21 (0.02%).
Jordan has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, a first-degree felony. He appeared in Cleveland Municipal Court on Wednesday, where a judge set his bond at $25,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 26.
Investigators report that Jordan was traveling west on Kinsman Road at a high speed in a 35-mph zone when the crash occurred.
The case remains under investigation as Kemp’s family and the community mourn the tragic loss.
