According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, Tatum was transported to a local hospital following the incident but succumbed to his injuries despite emergency efforts to save him. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots before authorities arrived to find Tatum suffering from severe wounds.
