Jeff Randall “Cheeseburger” Carter, a well-known figure in the Georgia racing community, has passed away at the age of 63. Carter, a longtime resident of Carrollton, Georgia, and formerly of Covington, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Carter, affectionately nicknamed “Cheeseburger,” was renowned for his career in dirt-track racing, where he earned more than 100 wins and two championships in regional competitions. He became a familiar and respected figure in Georgia’s racing circuit, known for his competitive spirit and dedication to the sport.

In addition to his racing achievements, Carter was a wrecker driver for many years, assisting motorists in distress and offering his help during difficult situations. His role as a wrecker driver became more than just a job—it was a way for him to serve his community.
A longtime member of Honey Creek Baptist Church, Carter was deeply rooted in faith and service. He leaves behind his wife, Lisa, his children, Robbie and Haley, and several grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply.
His passing has left a significant void in both the Covington and Carrollton communities. Friends, family, and neighbors remember Carter not only for his accomplishments on the racetrack but also for his kindness and willingness to help others off the track.
Memorial service arrangements are pending and will be announced by the family.
