
The Crestview community is mourning the loss of 20-year-old Katlan Roura, who was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident on Friday evening. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. near Hare Street on U.S. Highway 90.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Roura was walking northbound across the eastbound lanes of the highway when she stepped into the path of an oncoming pickup truck. The 22-year-old driver, a Crestview man, struck her with the left front side of his vehicle. Despite immediate efforts by emergency responders, Roura was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was uninjured and stayed at the scene, cooperating with investigators.
