Dallas, TX – Nearly two years after the tragic killing of 24-year-old Juvenal Antero, Dallas Police have identified one of the men believed to be responsible for his death. Authorities named 26-year-old Arnold Sustaita Zapata as one of the suspects involved in the fatal home invasion that occurred on December 30, 2023, in the 440 block of South Saint Augustine Drive.
According to investigators, officers were called to the scene around 2:40 p.m. after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Antero suffering from a gunshot wound inside his apartment. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives said the violence unfolded when three men knocked on the door of Antero’s home, pretending to need a plunger. Once his wife answered, the men forced their way inside, leading to a confrontation that ended with Antero being shot in front of his wife and four-year-old son.
Police released surveillance photos and descriptions of the suspects shortly after the shooting. At the time, they described one as a white or Hispanic male dressed in all black with a mask, another as a white or Hispanic male with a mustache and glasses, and the third as a Black male wearing a red Abercrombie hoodie. The suspects were reportedly seen leaving the area in a red four-door Kia Soul.
Detective Christian called the case “deeply troubling,” emphasizing that the shooting happened inside the victim’s home while his family watched. “I need help identifying and bringing justice to this family,” he said.
Police are urging anyone with additional information about the remaining suspects to contact Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous, and rewards are available for information leading to arrests or indictments in the case, which is listed under case number 232551-2023.
Zapata, now identified as a suspect, is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 260 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators continue to search for the other two men believed to be involved in Antero’s killing.
