Dallas Police Seek Suspect in Fatal Early Morning Shooting Dead of Eiver Valecillos

DALLAS, Texas — A man was killed in a deadly shooting early Sunday morning in southern Dallas, and police are now searching for the suspect.

Officers responded just after 1:10 a.m. to the 7500 block of Chaucer Place, where they found 27-year-old Eiver Valecillos suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Suspect Identified

According to investigators, a preliminary investigation identified 28-year-old Victor Reyes-Valbuena Najera as the suspect. Detectives believe Najera shot Valecillos during the incident before fleeing the area.

Authorities have since issued a warrant for Najera’s arrest on a murder charge.

Ongoing Investigation

The Dallas Police Department confirmed the investigation is ongoing and is urging anyone with information about Najera’s whereabouts to come forward.
