Daniel Hoh of Grey’s Anatomy Spinoff Station 19 Passes Away After Multiple Myeloma Battle

Daniel Hoh, a writer and producer for ABC’s Station 19, passed away on October 11, 2024, at 45, after battling multiple myeloma.

A trained physician from Potomac, Maryland, Hoh transitioned from medicine to writing, joining the CBS Diversity Writing Program. He wrote for Pure Genius (2016) and contributed to 41 episodes of Station 19 (2020), becoming a producer in its final season.

Hoh worked as an ER physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and actively fought human trafficking and advocated for international human rights alongside his wife, Deborah.

Colleagues, including Jaina Lee Ortiz, praised Hoh’s heartfelt writing. His unconventional journey from ER doctor to television writer inspired many. Hoh’s passion for storytelling drove his success.
