Authorities in Washington, D.C., are investigating the fatal shooting of a man discovered early Thursday morning in the Northeast neighborhood. The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Dashane Judd, who, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), had no fixed address.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, around 6:17 a.m. on November 14 following reports of an unconscious individual. Upon arrival, they found Judd unresponsive, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders from DC Fire and EMS arrived shortly after but confirmed that Judd showed no signs of life. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been transported for further examination. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
Investigators are actively searching for evidence in the area and reviewing surveillance footage from nearby buildings and traffic cameras. At this stage, no suspects have been identified, and police have not released information regarding a possible motive. Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.
