Cleveland, Ohio — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of David Anthony Boone, a 53-year-old man who was found dead early Thursday morning in Cleveland’s Union Miles neighborhood.
According to the Cleveland Division of Police, officers responded to a call around 5:04 a.m. in the 4200 block of East 128th Street, where they discovered Boone lying in a front yard with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the homicide unit are now investigating the incident. So far, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not released any information about possible suspects or a motive.
Neighbors in the area expressed shock over the early-morning violence, describing the neighborhood as usually quiet. Boone’s death has also drawn sympathy from friends and community members, many of whom shared tributes online remembering him as a kind and respectful man.
