Deadly Shooting in the Bronx Claims the Life of 25-Year-Old Chanler Reams

Bronx, NY — The New York City Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that left 25-year-old Chanler Reams dead Sunday evening, November 9, 2025, in the Bronx. Authorities report that at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers from the 48th Precinct responded to a call about a shooting at 2111 Southern Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found Reams unconscious and unresponsive inside the building, having sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly thereafter but were unable to revive Reams, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The NYPD Crime Scene Unit processed the area, while the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took possession of Reams’ body for further examination. Investigators have not yet made any arrests and are continuing to search for suspects involved in the shooting.
