ARLINGTON, Va. — A bloody confrontation outside a business in the Ashton Heights neighborhood Tuesday evening left one man dead and two others fighting for their lives, Arlington County Police confirmed.
Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Glebe Road just after 5:11 p.m. on November 26, 2025, following multiple 911 calls reporting an assault in progress. Arriving units discovered two adult men suffering from multiple stab wounds on the sidewalk. A third man was found inside the nearby business and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police and fire personnel immediately began life-saving measures on the injured victims, who were rushed to a trauma center. As of Wednesday morning, one remains in critical but stable condition; the second has been upgraded to stable.
Detectives with the Homicide/Robbery Unit say preliminary evidence indicates the deceased individual was the primary aggressor and initiated the attack. Multiple knives were recovered, and investigators believe all parties involved have been accounted for.
“This appears to be a contained incident with no outstanding suspects,” a department spokesperson said late Tuesday. “Detectives are still working to establish the exact circumstances that led to this tragic outcome.”
The area along N. Glebe Road was closed for several hours while crime-scene technicians processed evidence and canvassed for witnesses. Police are asking nearby residents and businesses to review surveillance footage from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family.
