DENVER, Colo. – The Denver community and the U.S. Navy are mourning the loss of Builder 3rd Class Natalie Klecker, a Seabee remembered for her selfless service and dedication at home and abroad.

Klecker, who lived in Merriam, Kansas, but was proud of her Denver roots, served as a builder with the Navy’s elite construction force, the Seabees.
She deployed on significant humanitarian missions, including Exercise Cobra Gold 2020 in Thailand. There, she worked alongside international engineers to build a three-room schoolhouse, directly improving educational access for local children. Fellow service members say her skill and positive attitude made her an inspiration.

Beyond her military service, friends and family remember Klecker for her loyalty, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping others. Described as warm and hardworking, her laughter and strength left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Her passing has prompted an outpouring of grief and remembrance from fellow Seabees, the Denver community, and all who knew her.
