At approximately 6:30 p.m., Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to reports at the Haunted Mansion of a guest who had become unconscious. Disney security personnel administered CPR immediately, and paramedics later transported her to a nearby hospital.

Despite efforts, she was later pronounced dead.

Preliminary Findings & Investigation

Park officials and first responders emphasize that no obvious mechanical flaws have been detected in the ride, which reopened shortly after the incident.

Authorities describe the event as an “unfortunate medical episode,” and say there is currently no evidence that the ride itself contributed to her death.

The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has indicated that it will assess whether any further examinations are needed. In this case, they have not yet taken custody of the body, which suggests that a physician may have already certified the death.
