Sturminster Newton, Dorset — Dorset Police have launched a major investigation following the death of a man stabbed near the Harts estate on Tuesday evening.
Emergency services responded shortly after 5 p.m., deploying ambulance crews, armed officers, and a K9 unit to the scene. Witnesses reported a significant police presence, including helicopters, as officers secured the area and searched for the suspect.
An air ambulance transported the victim to Southampton General Hospital around 6:30 p.m., where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
Forensic teams have cordoned off the estate, which remains under close police supervision while investigators examine the circumstances of the attack. Dorset Police suspect the incident may have arisen from a dispute but are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the stabbing to come forward.
At this stage, no arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large. The community is urged to remain vigilant as the investigation continues.
