DAVENPORT, Iowa (November 29, 2025) – Scott County prosecutors have charged two men with first-degree murder after a violent confrontation inside a downtown Davenport bar early Friday morning left two people dead and another wounded.
Raymond Robinson, 21, and Danny Howard, 36, both of Davenport, were arrested within hours of the 1:45 a.m. shooting at Chill Vibez Lounge on Myrtle Street. Each faces two counts of first-degree murder, four counts of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, and going armed with intent.

The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Dane Howard and 44-year-old Damien Howard Sr., both Davenport residents. Police have not publicly confirmed any relationship between the suspects and victims, but sources close to the investigation say the incident appears to have stemmed from a personal dispute that quickly turned physical and then deadly.
Officers arriving at the scene found Dane Howard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside the bar. He was rushed to Genesis Medical Center-East but was pronounced dead a short time later. Moments after, police learned Damien Howard Sr. had been driven by private vehicle to a second hospital, where he also succumbed to his injuries.
A third person was shot but is expected to survive.
Detective Sergeant Chris Gonzalez told reporters Saturday that surveillance video from inside and outside the lounge clearly shows the altercation escalating in seconds, with multiple weapons drawn.
“This was not a random act,” Gonzalez said. “Everyone involved knew each other. We’re still piecing together exactly what sparked it, but it escalated tragically fast.”
Both Robinson and Howard are being held without bond at the Scott County Jail. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for next week.
