Greenway, AR – Authorities have confirmed that 80-year-old Ronnie Gurley of Greenway tragically lost his life in a collision involving a semi-truck and a train Tuesday morning in Clay County.

According to Sheriff Ronnie Cole, the crash occurred at approximately 8 a.m. on County Road 346, about one mile north of Piggott. Gurley, who was operating the semi-truck at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Union Pacific officials confirmed that one of their trains was involved in the incident. Fortunately, no additional injuries have been reported.
