Monica Fritchman, a beloved daughter, niece, cousin, and Edinboro University graduate, has passed away at the age of 30. Her unexpected death has left the communities of Erie and Farrell, Pennsylvania, in mourning.
Monica, who had been living with multiple sclerosis (MS), passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was remembered by those who knew her for her gentle personality, warmth, and generosity. Monica’s resilience in facing her illness was admired by many, and despite the challenges she faced, she continued to radiate kindness and positivity.

Born in Farrell on February 11, Monica spent much of her life there before moving to Erie, where she became a cherished member of the community. During her time at Edinboro University, Monica earned the affection of her classmates and professors, who admired her drive, kindness, and willingness to support others. She was known for her ability to brighten any room and for her genuine care for those around her.
Family was central to Monica’s life, and she shared a particularly close bond with her aunt, Cathy Pagliarini, and cousin, Kelly Pagliarini. “Monica always made sure her family felt appreciated,” Kelly Pagliarini said. “We are proud to have known her and to have been part of her life.”
