The community of Ferndale, Washington is in mourning following the tragic death of 20-year-old Malakhi Moreau, who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Sunday evening, September 28, 2025.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office reported that the collision occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Mountain View and Olson Roads, when a car struck Malakhi’s motorcycle. Despite the rapid arrival of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Whatcom County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed his identity and determined his death to be accidental.
Authorities confirmed that two occupants of the car sustained serious injuries and were taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, along with another motorcyclist injured in the crash. The exact cause of the collision remains under investigation.
