FLOWER MOUND, Texas – The community Flower Mound is united in grief following the death of 14-year-old Isha Mishra, a ninth-grade student at Marcus High School. The teenager passed away after being involved in a traffic collision Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on December 2 at the intersection of Valley Ridge Boulevard and Browning Drive.

Upon arrival, Flower Mound police officers located a pedestrian who had been struck by a 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck. Emergency responders from the Flower Mound Fire Department provided urgent medical care and transported the youth to Medical City Denton. Despite extensive efforts, she was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The Denton County Medical Examiner identified her as Isha Mishra.
Preliminary information from investigators states the driver of the truck, a 60-year-old resident of Lewisville, had been stopped at a stop sign in the 6000 block of Browning Road. As the teen entered the crosswalk, the vehicle proceeded forward, resulting in the collision. The driver remained at the location and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed at this time as authorities work to determine the precise circumstances.
Lewisville ISD issued a statement acknowledging the loss. “We are deeply saddened to confirm that a Marcus 9th Grade Campus student was killed today in an auto-pedestrian accident off campus. Our thoughts are with the family during this very difficult time,” a district spokesperson said. The district has made crisis counseling support available for students and staff affected by the news.
The sudden tragedy has deeply affected residents, with many expressing condolences and support for the Mishra family. The incident has also prompted community conversations about pedestrian awareness and intersection safety, particularly during after-school hours.
