Fort Thomas Community Mourns the Sudden Passing of Manikandan “Mani” Ravi, 37

Fort Thomas, KY — The Fort Thomas community is mourning the sudden loss of Manikandan “Mani” Ravi, 37, who passed away on August 16, 2025, from a severe heart attack. A devoted husband, loving father, and cherished son, Mani was remembered for his kindness, humility, and the warmth he shared with everyone around him.

SUPPORT THE FAMILY - GOD BLESS YOU

Known for his adventurous spirit, Mani loved traveling and hiking, often creating lasting memories by exploring new places with his family. His untimely passing has left a deep void in the lives of his wife, Mahitha, their 9-year-old son Vedanth, and Mani’s elderly parents, who had recently reunited with him in the United States after a seven-year separation.

Friends and family say the loss is especially heartbreaking given that Mani’s parents were finally able to be with their son after years apart. Now, Mahitha faces the overwhelming task of caring for her son and in-laws while also managing pressing financial burdens. Immediate needs include medical bills, funeral and cremation expenses, and the possibility of relocating back to India to access the support of extended family.

Vedanth, described as a bright and exceptional student, was the pride of his father. Loved ones say Mahitha is determined to secure his education and future, even as she works through the grief of losing her husband and the challenges of caring for Mani’s parents.

The family’s circle of friends has organized support efforts, urging the community to come together through donations, prayers, and presence. A candlelight silence observation is planned, and loved ones are encouraging everyone to share Mani’s story to ensure his family receives the help they need.

A funeral service for Mani will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Spring Grove Funeral Homes, 4389 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45223, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Fort Thomas community remembers Mani as not only the heart of his family but also as a compassionate soul whose light touched many. In this time of immense sorrow, friends and neighbors are rallying to ensure his legacy lives on through the love and support given to his family.
