WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A Halloween celebration ended in tragedy Friday night when a shooting at a party left one juvenile dead and another in critical condition.
According to the West Valley City Police Department, officers were called to the area near 2500 W 4020 S just before midnight after reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence that multiple rounds had been discharged in the vicinity.

Authorities confirmed that a male juvenile succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while a female juvenile sustained serious gunshot wounds and is currently listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
At this time, police report that no arrests have been made, and the investigation into the shooting remains active. Officials emphasized that they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
