HASTINGS – Police have formally identified the woman found dead at a Kotuku Street address in Camberley on 29 October as 37-year-old Teishallia TePaea.
Detectives leading Operation Knell confirmed today that Teishallia’s death is being treated as homicide and appealed again for the public’s help in piecing together her final days.

“Teishallia was a much-loved daughter, sister, aunty, and friend,” Detective Senior Sergeant Sally Patrick said. “Her whānau are absolutely devastated and deserve answers. We owe it to them to find out exactly what happened.”
Officers were called to the Camberley property just after 8 a.m. on 29 October after concerns were raised for Teishallia’s welfare. She was located deceased inside the address, and a post-mortem has since confirmed the death was suspicious.
Investigators believe members of the local community hold critical information.
“There are people out there who know what happened to Teishallia and who was involved,” Patrick said. “We’re asking you—please do the right thing. Come forward and help us give her family the justice they need to begin healing.”

A blessing was held at the Kotuku Street address last week, and a Givealittle page set up by whānau has already raised thousands to support funeral costs and the care of Teishallia’s tamariki.
The investigation remains very active, with a large team of detectives working around the clock.
